Invited by Prof. Zhang Jie, the Center of Micro-Nano Engineering (COME) in School of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Wei Fengxia from Singapore ASTAR IMRE gave a presentation to ME teachers and students in the lecture hall C302 on April 1, 2019. The presentation was titled " Design of Functional Materials: Fuel Cells, Solar Batteries, Water Purification Catalysts and Hydrogen Electric Catalysts". More than 60 teachers and students participated in this academic activity.

In her report, Dr. Wei Fengxia started a topic on the application of perovskite materials in solar cell applications. She reported systematic studies on lead-free perovskite materials, and advanced application in academic research. Dr. Wei also presented the results on using TiO2 nanorods, as catalysts, for water purification applications.

After the presentation, Dr. Wei Fengxia was invited to visit the research labs and other academic facilities in the School of Mechanical Engineering. A further academic collaboration was discussed with the host.
